Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/05/2015

Number: 1

Although I have yet to see any adults, I did (finally) find my first eggs of this spring. Of these 4, 3 had been laid on the milkweed flower buds, something that I observe occurring with my second "brood" of the year. This gives you an idea of how very late the monarchs are arriving in this area.
