Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/03/2015

Number: 1

In the past two days, I saw three adult Monarchs in McKinney, Texas, too far to tell much about sex or condition, found some eggs and caterpillars in several stages--also at the Heard in McKinney.

Today, I found one egg next to a parking lot while running errands, two good-looking adults flying, and one caterpillar that must have sneaked in when I collected some food plants for the last batch I was raising--all from Allen, Texas in Collin County.

Photo attached appears to be a fresh adult from Allen, Texas, (Collin County) taken today 06/03/2015

The plant is actually horribly, terribly invasive here--Scabiosa atropurpurea. I could never recommend it, even though the butterflies like it.
