Noted birdwatcher Doug Lockery reports:

On Friday, June 5, 3 of us saw a Monarch Butterfly in Carden; I believe it was in the lower reaches of Wylie Rd.

The Carden Alvar is renowed for rare birds and rare nesting birds, including yellow rails, loggerhead shrike and so forth. Also excellent butterfly watching.
