Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/11/2015

Number: 1

Here in coastal southern CA, we are having a very unusual spring. It has had far fewer clear days, and far more Marine Layer days, cloudy days, and rains...the rains are typically "gully washers", but more gentle. But it is also cooler than last year. And the weather reports are constantly having to be adjusted as a clear day becomes a cloudy day with drizzle.
My first ovipositing female Monarch visited on 4/16/15. I've had 2 other females visit as well. But by this time last year, we were in full swing with females laying eggs quite often. Even our plants are having a hard time figuring out what to do!
