Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/07/2015

Number: 1

I was so excited to find 2 caterpillars that were probably a week old on milkweed in our field on Sunday, June 7, 2014. To date, I have not seen any Monarch butterflies or eggs. I hope these are not the only ones I find. On average since 2005, my mom and I have raised 125 Monarch butterflies a year. The numbers for the recent years have been much lower. I love raising Monarchs to get a front-row seat to see the creativity of our Awesome God!
