Observed our first monarch of the year at 11:10am 6/15/15 about 150m north up Wylie Rd in Carden Alvar provincial park. Very exciting! 3 of us leaped out of the car to try for a photo. No luck. Actually thought there may have been 2, but cannot confirm. A very fresh looking monarch! Looked for eggs but nothing found. Lots of milkweed along Wylie Rd.
Must be time to order tags for the fall!
