Saw my first monarch of the season: a female monarch laying eggs on our common milkweed in our yard (Monarch Waystation #8864). She was all about the common milkweed...she ignored the swamp milkweed, although she checked it out. I saw her around midday and then again in the early evening. Found 26 eggs so far!
