My kids were playing in the pool in our front yard about 5:30 pm tonight. We noticed something flitting around under our linden tree, and it headed for our milkweed. Hopeful, I grabbed my camera and ran to the milkweed. It was a beautiful, fresh, pristine monarch nectaring on our common milkweed. Had to be Gen 2. It flew off after just a few minutes. We continued to play and watch for it for an hour, but it did not return. Hopefully it will come back tomorrow!
