There are four chrysalises that someone brought into work. She asked us to let them go if they materialized into butterflies. Two opened and we waited a few hours to dry their wings and then let them go in a native planting outside. The other two are still in the netting inside. So I don't know where they originated. Probably in her garden somewhere here in the Kansas City, MO metro area. These are the first I've seen this year. I am not a teacher. I work at EPA Region 7 in Lenexa, KS where we let them go.
