Saw one small (less than a quarter of an inch) caterpillar on a common milkweed in my yard. Many holes in the milkweed where it had eaten. later in the day it was gone. Eaten by a paper wasp, is my guess, since I've seen those in the area, and they are particularly interested in milkweed leaves with tell-tale holes.
