Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/12/2015

Number: 1

My husband and I spotted the first Monarch this spring and summer near one of our flower gardens about 8:15 a.m. today. My husband is the "green thumb" of the family, and spends a large portion of the day turning our backyard into our "beautiful paradise," so he would most likely have seen a monarch if there had been one appear before now. We were just thrilled and viewed it through our binoculars. He has tenderly nursed some milkweed plants in our yard, so maybe it or another will lay eggs on it.
