First Monarch sighted nectaring on Buddlia Black Knightt and then Pale Purple Coneflower. I believe it was a female but it was very jittery and I couldnt't get as close as I would have liked. I have several large patches of different types of milkweeds, including common milkweed and Butterfly Weed. I was in the yard but didn't see the Monarch until 6:20 pm. I took one good picture of it.I am not sure if it was ovipositing on the milkweed. I haven't found any eggs to date. In past years they arrive about this time. However, only had a single sighting in 2013 in August and only 4 sightings in August and September 2014. Hopefully this will be a good sign of better things to come for this season!
