It's July and I finally sighted a monarch in my garden here in West Long Branch, NJ.

This is encouraging as I have over 20 milkweed plants in my garden but was beginning to wonder if I'd see any this year.

It had to be a male because I checked all the plants I saw him on and sadly, no eggs.
