Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/20/2015

Number: 1

May be one individual or several. I've only see one at a time visiting a milkweed. It lands, stays several seconds then takes off only to return a minute or two later and may stay several seconds longer. I saw the same last season but did not report.
Plant also has a number of small, red-winged insects as well as a large red-winged insect (wasp?) visiting. I see two caterpillars, but they do not match photos of Monarch's on the web. Editor's Note: latitude and longitude are for Apache Junction, AZ.
