Centre Crest nursing facility, where my mother resides, did a Monarch butterfly release the afternoon of 6/20/2015 to celebrate the summer solstice. Saw monarch butterflies 2 or 3 times since then (over the next 2 weeks) near my house (about 1/2 mile east of Centre Crest).
Have since spotted and collected several caterpillars from milkweeds at my house, which have formed chrysalises. Three have emerged as butterflies this past week (7/15-7/19/15), which we've then released.
