Update on Wis conditions..........
Numbers of 2nd generation monarchs continues to be good. Saw dozens of monarchs at BigLakeFarms sanctuary, most in perfect condition, some just emerged. Also some mating pairs.
Yesterday, both my wife and I saw 7-8 monarchs crossing the north south roads we traveled, her's south, mine north.
Back hills had a couple of dozen monarchs, too, on my scouting trip back there yesterday.
Everything is green; there's lots of milkweed; the 2nd generation hatch has good numbers; my experiments with "damaging" 10% of my milkweed is yielding nice new shoots.
The next generation has a chance to be huge; we'll see how conditions and chance play out...........
