Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/22/2015

Number: 1

The monarchs seem to have had a much later start in Minneapolis this year.
We have released only 2 so far this year -nearly 20 by the same time last year. That has changed now. We are seeing many monarchs every day in our garden and currently have 98 eggs and cats. Monarchs don't seem to be the only butterflies getting a slow start. At this time last year we had 25+ swallowtail cats/eclosed adults and this year we have ZERO despite having planted the same species of fennel and dill that attracted so many to our garden last year.
