I was fortuante to watch a monarch ovipositing on swamp milkweed in my yard today. I believe many eggs were laid but this is the only one I could find on some unopened flower buds.

This was my first egg sighting this year and actually my first ever. I watched her lay it and was surprised it was on the unopened flower bud.

My friend encourages me to file my sightings. She also had oviposting on a swamp milkweed bud yesterday (7/22/15).
