I saw my first monarch of the year in my south side flower garden which is dominated bee balm. There is also a butterfly bush and assorted flowers. I could not see well enough to tell if it was male or female as it was flying about. We planted some milkweed and other butterfly attracting plants so I'm optimistic that there will be more sightings here.
