Observed a female on my Butterfly Bush this morning. She was a bit faded and bedraggled. Also had a brief sighting on the Cat-mint. This one was much brighter but flew before I good get a really good look. This was my first sighting of the year. At 6:30 this evening I had a third sighting for the day. A large, gorgeous monarch was flitting around our milkweed. With four of us observing it was too nervous to lite. So I was unable to determine gender.
