Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/23/2015

Number: 1

The first monarch that I personally have seen... EVER! Exciting. It was fluttering on some flowers in Riverfront Park in Downtown Spokane, just a few hundred feet from some narrow-leaf milkweed. The milkweed is out of reach, off the trail and on some basalt cliffs, so I can't ascertain whether any eggs have been laid on them. Monarch was too shy for a picture.
