Bald Eagle

Date: 07/26/2015

Number: 1

We were kayaking down the Brazos river, and we had stopped on the bank to take a break when i saw it fly by the first time (unless that was a different one). And about an hour or so down the river we saw it fly up to a tree that also had a heron nest in it. The heron came to check on its nest. And the Eagle jumped flew out of the tree and down the middle of the river right over us! It was beautiful! Some of our people even sang the Star Spangled Banner to it, needless to say he/she didn't come back after hearing their singing! I had never seen one before, they really are beautiful, graceful creatures.
