Urban neighborhood, midday, my first sighting of the year. (I try to pay attention, am mostly in the city, have had lots of other butterflies - red admirals, cabbage white, yellow sulfur, eastern swallowtails, a few more, but didn't spot any monarchs before last week). Saw a couple more yesterday (7/28/15) when I was out of town.
