Saw one female Monarch on 07/18/15 who visited our native milkweed garden several times over the next few days. She laid many eggs some of which we were able to collect and save. The result is that we have now released 2 female and one male monarchs from these eggs and we now have about 28 chrysalises that will hatch in the next few days. Unfortunately we have seen no other Monarchs as of 07/30/15. We are hopeful, but it doesn't look like it will be a very good Monarch year.
