Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/04/2015

Number: 1

It was about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, and I glanced out my window and saw a beautiful Monarch butterfly eating from the zinnias out back by my garage! I have a lot of zinnias , marigolds, geraniums and sunflowers planted back there, plus about 4 milkweed plants. It looked like the Monarch was just enjoying the flowers and eating and resting and going near the milkweed plants. I was so excited to see "her(?)" !! There were tiny eggs on a few of the milkweed leaves and tiny holes eaten out of a few leaves, too.
