Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/03/2015

Number: 5

Since my last report my son and I are averaging at least 5 monarch sightings per day around Essex County from Windsor to Leamington! Many are laying eggs on our Common Milkweed. We have been allowing the edges of our acre to grow wild for years now and this is the first year we have had any significant numbers of Monarchs (many other creatures have benefitted as well including other butterflies). It is how I remember the summers of my youth 40 years ago when Monarchs were so common you almost overlooked them!
