Today I saw 2 hummingbirds in my veg garden. I also have some lantana and verbena planted in there for the butterflies. One was only there for a few seconds before it flew out of sight. The other one hovered over the lantana and then over the flowers on my red bell peppers and pinkeyed peas. It landed and hung on to a bamboo stake next to one of my peppers for a few seconds and then it was off to the next raised bed of green beans and more pinkeyed peas. They were already in the garden when I looked out the window, so I don't know how long they were there. I saw the second one for about a minute or so before it was out of sight.
