Prior to this weekend, I had only seen single monarchs, and only 3-4 sightings within the last week to 10 days. My milkweed (1/4 acre field and several more smaller sections on almost 3 acres) is nearing the end of it's blooming period, but the butterfly bushes are coming into full bloom. I finally spotted this mating pair, and have possibly seen a second pair this week. No eggs or larva yet, but I will be checking!
