One monarch flew around my flower garden-no milkweed but a butterfly weed plant that has only seed pods and is well past blooming. Unable to tell it's sex as I was inside. The roadsides and fields have an abundance of healthy milkweed but the monarchs are not here in their usual numbers. July had 15 inches of rain-a record-and little sun. Reynoldsburg is an Eastern suburb of Columbus,Ohio. Lots of agricultural damage,storms and flooding for our state. The weather has affected growth and production. Monarchs are not the only casualties. Heartbreaking.
