Since spotting 2 caterpillars in early Spring my sightings have grown in number. I watched the caterpillars mature, emerge and lay eggs. Then that generation matured and laid eggs. This last group of adults are laying eggs all over the 2 acre Waystation #5907. It's late in the season so this last generation will probably migrate rather than lay eggs. Last year 2014 only 2 adults were sighted here all season and no eggs. This year I feel very gratified that this protected pollinator garden with fields of 3 types of milkweed has successfully produced Monarchs and larva all summer. They're so cute!
