I have several swamp milkweed plants in the flowerbed in front of my house. The pink flowered is native to our province. I also purchase a plant from the nursery that looks exactly like the native swamp milkweed but it has white flowers. I walked by one of the plants today and noticed some of the leaves on the very top of the plant had been partially eaten. I immediately located the larva which appears to be quite young, perhaps 5 or 6 days post hatch.
