Driving from house to go to an appointment I spotted a single Monarch flying toward my butterfly garden. That evening I sat in the garden and casually flipped the leaves of a solitary young native milkweed which was growing self-planted next to the garden chair. I was thrilled to discover an egg! Next morning a concentrated egg hunt produced 19 eggs and 3 tiny cats!!!! The migratory generation has arrived in Hackensack NJ ... How exciting!
