430pm Monday Aug 10, 2015. Went outside to my front yard only to see within a minute of being in the garden a Monarch land on the many inflorescences of my Orange Cosmos plants.

I cannot report on the gender of the butterfly as I have not developed an eye for such details. Also, it is very difficult for me to get close to these creatures. Balance that also with my impression that it is best that, if I see one, for me to simply leave and carry on with another task so the butterfly can get the nectar it needs, or lands on the Milkweed in the garden to lay eggs without disturbance.
