Monarch Adult Sighted

Large beautiful female laying eggs on my swamp milkweed, which is next to a parvenu patch of zinnias. First she ate nectar, then laid eggs. I found 6 eggs, which I brought inside to raise, and then release! She flew around a number of times, and seemed to be searching for more milkweed. I just started my milkweed patch this spring, and she just kept going back to the patch, and would lay a few more eggs. I am planning a much larger patch for next year! I also have common milkweed seedlings, but she ignored those, as well as the butterfly milkweed. The swamp milkweed is just starting to bloom right now. Very happy
and excited!
