We saw a male Ruby Throat once last summer feeding on our flowers.
Periodically this summer I have seen the male near my wife's red petunias for very short times. I have had feeders out for it from time to time but the bird was a no show. Finally in the last few days I noticed that the liquid in the feeder was lower than the day before. At sunrise today I saw the hummingbird at the feeder. This is the first time in many years of trying to attract a hummingbird to the feeder that I succeeded.
