Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/12/2015

Number: 1

This morning at about 9 am I saw a female monarch sunning itself on a leaf, then nectarting on Tithonia, then laying eggs on the common and tropical milkweeds in the Children's Learning Garden at the Virginia Living Museum. I didn't have time to go around and check the plants for the numbers of eggs, had to prepare for a morning class.
