While walking along the path behind my townhouse neighborhood that runs along Little Hunting Creek... I checked the Common Milkweed plants that grow in the area. I was checking for evidence of caterpillars eating leaves as well as searching for eggs and caterpillars. During my search I came across two caterpillars that were no more than 3-4 days old on separate leaves, but on the same plant. I collected the leaves each were on and brought them home to rear indoors and then release back into the wild.
