I had my first MONARCH BUTTERFLY fly over my yard! The first in DECADES!! I'm so overjoyed with excitement! last month I seen a monarch at a near by lake, fluttering by milkweed, growing along side the lakes edge! And just recently, I sighted another, in Littleton, CO!

We seen her early this evening, as she flew into neighboring yards, so I was unable to get any photos. Moments later, the sun went into the clouds, and we're expecting the possibility of rain. So I'm assuming she will lay low for the rest of the evening... which means she will remain nearby! I'll be watching for her tomorrow, in hopes of her visiting my milkweed garden... and camera in hand! Here's hoping she will lay eggs, and they will be protected!
