Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/14/2015

Number: 12

I was very happy to finally find 12 monarch larvae in different stages of development this morning. Unfortunately, I also witnessed a Northern Cardinal jumping onto Marsh Milkweed stalks and shaking off caterpillars, then eating them. This happened at least 3 times. We will try to raise some in a protected area again.
