One adult male monarch patrolled yard for 4 hours today from 2:00 pm to 6:00pm Circled several dozen butterfly bushes and flower gardens stopping occasionally for nectaring on Buddlia and then right bactk to patrolling. Sometimes he flew to a low Elm branch on the south side of the garden for 5 minutes or so and then began again. No females or other males sighted all day.
