Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 08/15/2015

Number: 3

I have three feeders around our yard front and back. Despite construction, the hummers are always here. There are three males (sometimes I think there are more because they zip around so much) and even more females and juveniles. They are emptying the feeders so quickly that I have a hard time keeping up. The males like to perch in the trees nearest "their" feeders. The males will tolerate a female at their feeder occasionally. The females will tolerate younger, smaller birds as well. Sorry about the picture, I took it from our screened porch.
