several monarch watchers have said they haven't seen many caterpillars this summer. We have noticeably more lizards than usual. Could they be eating the caterpillars? I've begun bringing eggs and larva indoors with milkweed to grow and cocoon, then set the butterflies free. Is there any downside to doing so?
