Just saw the first monarch of the year in my backyard garden and then found 2 eggs. My husband said he saw one yesterday but I found it hard to believe as the only ones we have sighted in the past 3 years have come in October. Today's monarch is a somewhat worn but not tattered female. She was nectarine on swamp milkweed (best year EVER for swamp and other milkweeds in my garden). YIPEEE!!!!
