Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/17/2015

Number: 2

Monarchs have been in my yard since July 20, I have found very few eggs even though I saw the female laying them or appearing to lay them. Also in my neighbours yard. I found 1 caterpillar in my yard and 1 in her yard. I saw more eggs but not so many cats. This year we had wasps in our area early. I know that some could be parasitic. Do you have any thoughts on this. Do you think that native bees could be a hazard to the eggs and larvae. I just put up a native bee house in June. I wonder if I should move this to a location away from the milkweed. I found 2 cats today on a reseeded milkweed in my neighbours yard. It was a single stem milkweed and it is in the shade. Not any wasps on the plant and away from other plants.
