On the evening of August 16th I saw an adult Whooping Crane at Stirling Lake which is 30 km SE of Lethbridge on the west side of Hwy 4. I watched it for an hour feeding. This observation is extremely rare and I'm not aware of any previous sightings in southern Alberta. There is no place to report Whooping Crane sightings on Journey North that I could find. I just wanted to make the Whooping Crane people aware of it.
