Twirling together in upward flights... Two monarchs, I believe male and female in courtship? I'm in northern Illinois. So... If this is a mating pair, I'm hoping the offspring will have time to grow into fliers to michoacan. It is mid Agust. I do think here the migrators take off more so in Mid September?
Confused about this, because experts say the southern migration begins here in mid August, which is now. But there are so many eggs around.
