I saw the female Monarch on one of our smaller milkweed plants, and found the egg when she left.
She kept flying around on the bigger, older plants, even landed on the seed pods of several of the plants, but did not leave any more eggs. She left our yard soon after.
I brought the egg in on the leaf, and will try to raise this through all the stages.
