As I traveled doing work throughout NE Kansas yesterday, I observed 7 Monarchs moving from the NE to the SW taking advantage of the light north wind. Although it seems a little early for any migration activity in this area, they were traveling on a straight line to the SW. This unseasonably cool August weather may have them thinking about a warm Mexico!
