!st year I've seen hummers regularly nectaring from orange honeysuckle in my yard. Several females then end of July young very small hummers. Certain one of the females nested & raised her young in our neighborhood. I had never before seen "baby" hummers nectaring...I thought it was a moth or locust at first but realized it was a very young ruby throat hummer!
