Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 08/15/2015

Number: 1

We have been observing a total of three hummers coming to our feeders. One is a male, who has been very aggressive with one feeder in particular. If any female tries to feed on 'his feeder', he immediately scoots her away. Sometimes, he'll just sit on the feeder itself, other times he'll perch in a tree across from the feeder then zoom if another hummer attempts to feed on it. He does appear to be fattening up a bit from our initial sighting of him. Our weather is going to be somewhat less humid this coming week, so we'll be particularly on the lookout to observe him and the others in their preparation to depart.
